Asparagus in the kitchen

Asparagus is a perfect spring ingredient with a delicate taste and beneficial properties for the body. These vegetables are used in many recipes, thanks to their versatility: they can be used both raw and cooked, they lend themselves to simple preparations and also to more elaborate dishes. 

Recipes with asparagus can be found in many cuisines around the world: from Italian cuisine with lasagne, to French cuisine with creamed asparagus, to Asian cuisine with sautéed rice. In addition, this vegetable is used in numerous savoury and sweet preparations, such as tartlets with mascarpone cheese.

One of the most famous asparagus dishes is the classic omelette. This dish is particularly quick and easy to prepare, but just as tasty. In addition, asparagus can also be barbecued or pan-fried, accompanied by spices and herbs that enhance the flavour. 

Finally, asparagus can be used in combination with other ingredients, such as mozzarella, salmon, ham, eggs and many others. Thanks to their versatility in the kitchen, asparagus is a must-have ingredient in the household pantry.

Smoked salmon and asparagus rolls
Very easy to prepare, they are great as an appetiser. Blanch the asparagus for a few minutes and prepare the rolls with smoked salmon. Season with a sauce made of mayonnaise and smoked paprika.

Risotto with asparagus
Prepare the classic risotto by sautéing the onion and toasting the rice. Separate the asparagus tips and cut the stalk into small pieces. Cook the stalks with the rice until cooked and lastly decorate with the asparagus tips previously blanched and sautéed.

Boil the asparagus with a potato and a leek. Blend everything and serve. There you go!

Asparagus with eggs
Boil the asparagus for a few minutes and finish them in a pan with a drop of oil. Separately, prepare the eggs (poached, scrambled, etc.) and serve while still hot.
